COVID-19 response updates

Greetings Emerald City Karate Families,
The health and safety of our students is our top priority.  With the news of the spread of the COVID-19 Corona Virus, we want to let our members know that we are working hard to prevent the spread of the disease both through active measures like disinfecting our dojo regularly and educational measures like guiding our students in the best ways to help prevent the spread of germs.

We’ve just completed a comprehensive cleaning of our dojo in addition to our regular cleaning process so everything should be getting disinfected on a regular basis.  Other things we have been doing to help prevent the spread of disease include cleaning common surfaces like door knobs and counter tops multiple times a day, reminding our students to use our provided hand sanitizers both before and after classes, no longer doing high fives in class, reminding students to not touch their face, eyes, or mouth, and splitting up classes into two rooms whenever possible so there are fewer people gathered together.  If the dojo smells a bit like cleaning alcohol or disinfectant please know that we are simply doing our best to keep our families safe.
If you or your child have a fever or other general illness symptoms please stay home to help minimize the spread of germs to other students.  If you need to stay home due to illness please let us know and we can provide you with videos so you can practice at home and see what we are working on in class.  Keeping your mind active on our curriculum is a major step toward its mastery.

The Parents night out event scheduled for next Friday will be canceled this month in an abundance of caution.
